TopRod ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by Codesquare AB. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the TopRod mobile application.

Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use TopRod:

• Account information: Your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Profile information: Your profile photo, if you choose to upload one.
• Competition data: Information about competitions you create or participate in, including team details and catch records.
• Catch photos: Photos you upload as part of competition catch logging.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the TopRod service.
• To authenticate your identity and manage your account.
• To display competition leaderboards and catch records.
• To send transactional emails (account verification, password resets).

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Convex, a cloud-based backend service. Authentication tokens are stored on your device using the iOS Keychain (via Expo SecureStore). We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your competition data (catches, team names) is visible to other participants in the same competition.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Convex: Backend and database hosting.
• Resend: Transactional email delivery.
• Google Maps: Map display for competition locations.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data through the app.
• Update your profile information at any time.
• Delete your account and all associated data from within the app.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data, catches, team memberships, and uploaded photos are permanently deleted.

Children's Privacy

TopRod is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date above.
